Mason and I get so excited when a new Flavia De Luce novel comes out! Actually, Mason just lets me read it as long as I periodically throw his favorite ball for him to retrieve. This is inside, not outside the house; I just have to tear my attention away from Flavia long enough to avoid lamps or other breakable objects with the ball .

But what about barking?  Yesterday, I watched a movie called “How to Kill Your Neighbor’s Dog.”  It was a good movie, not really much about a dog, but there was a dog that barked at night so the main character was always getting his sleep interrupted.  He bought earplugs, and he pretended to plot the death of his neighbor’s dog.

Considering a Small Dog?

Do you want a small dog?  The typical Yorkie is 3 to 7 pounds, not often much bigger, as it is a toy breed.  My Yorkie is a little over 7 pounds, but I’m glad because he is sturdy and not so fragile.  Yorkies are fragile dogs, as tiny as they are, and must be handled with care.  They shouldn’t jump from high places, and you don’t want to drop things on them, so you have to constantly keep your Yorkie from getting underfoot in places he can be hurt, like in the kitchen if you accidentally drop a can of soup on him!!!  I wouldn’t even think of taking her with you to the gym!
